You have been blessed by the Creator in many aspects of your life. If your all senses are working fine, then you are blessed. In the relationship, if you have a generous and kind wife, then you are blessed, and if you have responsible and sincere husband, even then you are blessed.

1. Count the Nature’s Blessing
Keep observing and counting the blessings of nature in your daily life and you will come to know that the Creator has given you so many reasons to be thankful to Him. Observing nature is not an easy task, but everyone can do it. Listening to the unheard unspoken words, unfell tears, and the resented heart is not an easy job.
You can understand the true nature if you keep searching for the meanings and the hints provided to you in all the elements of nature within your life. Humans are also an element of the nature. Ponder upon the complex mechanism within your own self. How organized and disciplined everything in your body is. If in case a small indiscipline occurs within your body then it might disrupt your whole bodily performance. Just image how blessed you are.
2. Two Lives Within Us – The Personality
Generally, all humans are living two lives. One is the ‘superficial world’ which comprises your personality traits like your looks, gestures, walking style, smile, the property, the wealth, the education degrees, etc. This is the part where we focus too much and mostly live our day. This should be understood as the material part. The gifted part. The blessed part.
You cannot change your looks. If you are born in rich family, then you are by nature rich. No one can deprive you from your inherited wealth. Your personality once created is created for life. Everyone is having a unique personality, neither good nor bad, let us not judge anyone by looks. You might have heard ‘Don’t judge the book by its cover’.
3. Two Lives Within Us – The Character
The second life in which everyone lives, is the character part. The inner core. The feelings and emotions part. Resentment, joy, integrity, satisfaction, compassion, kindness, enthusiasm, anger, envy, ego-centrism, etc. all such traits create and define our true self, the man livening inside us, and the one which dictates all our actions and reactions.
They are not much inborn. You can cultivate them like a gardener. If Gardner stop rooting out the weeds, then sooner all field will be covered by the weeds. Similar is the case with your inner core, the character part. Nourish it and it will develop. Suppress it, and it will vanish.
4. The Contentment of Heart
Happiness is not linked with the outer core as stated in Money and Happiness. Happiness is the fruit of your inner core. Heart is the place of satisfaction and contentment. The more facilitative and kind your heart is the more beauty will lie in your heart.
A satisfied heart is a contented heart. Contentment is earned by sacrifice. By negating the worldly demands and supplies. Contentment can only be attained by the person who is happy about what he has. Unlike others who are envy about life and achievements of others.
5. Richness – The State of Contentment
No matter how much you earn, if your heart is not satisfied then you are a poor person. I have seen hundreds of so categorized as rich people but they by themselves are considering themselves poor and destitute. Richness is a state of heart. Not everyone with too much money is rich. A contented heart is a rich heart. But you know what is the first step to attain contentment?
6. Develop the Attitude of Gratitude
Whatever you have and with whomever you are, you should be thankful for them. Just thank them for everything they have done for you. If someone is your employee or your kid or a servant or a customer, just thank them for everything they do for you.
And also be thankful to Allah (The Creator) for all the things that are bestowed upon you by Him. Gratitude is the character and happiness trait. And this gratitude must be sincere and not just a habit. People do listen to words but can feel sincerity too. Words have no meaning unless powered by strong emotions of love, kindness and sincerity.
7. The Thank You – Magic Spell
Thanking someone is a magic spell. Once you sincerely thank someone then look how wonderful your relationship develops with him or her. If your wife cooks something good or not good enough then just thank her for cooking and appreciate her cooked dish. And see how wonderful binding you will have. How lovely and kind.
Similarly, don’t fell short of kind words or become miser is appreciating someone. You can use whatever vocabulary you have but remember thanking someone don’t always need words for expression. A kind tapping on shoulders or just giving a hug is sometimes the best appreciation. Try it someday, and see miracles.
8. Stop Criticizing
Another effective way to develop the attitude of gratitude is by stopping the criticism. Don’t spit the words which have harsh impact. Always use positive words or if too much required then you may use the less positive words, but never ever use the negative words for someone or some task or for whatever you have.
Every experience, no matter how bad it seems, holds in it a blessing of some kind. The goal is to find it.
Buddha
Just commit to yourself that you won’t use negative words about yourself or someone else and then observe your talks. There you will see a lot of pauses or for few might observe a full stop in their talks, just because some people only talk is related to criticizing the people, society or himself. That is a crime even our judiciary don’t consider it a crime. Trashing someone’s self-esteem is like mentally killing the person’s soul. Like stabbing his morality. Killer but not guilty, how cruel.
9. Give a lot of Thanks
