Sadky Tumhare – Introduction
Sadqay Tumhare is a Pakistani biographical drama serial based on the author of the series, Khalil-Ur-Rehman Qamar. Mohammed Ehteshamuddin directed it, while Momina Duraid, Smina Humayun Saeed, and Tariq Ahmad Shah co-produced it. It stars Mahira Khan, Samiya Mumtaz, and Adnan Malik, making his acting debut in this series.
Based on the author’s own real-life love story, the series, set in the 1980s, centres around Shano and Khalil, who have been engaged since childhood but are threatened by their family’s background.
Sadqay Tumhare was one of the year’s most popular and appreciated programmes.
It received ten nominations out of fifteen at the annual Hum Awards. In the Lux Style Awards, it received two of five prizes, including Best Actress for Khan and Best Writer for Qamar.
