Zara Yaad Kar - Online Drama URDU

Zara Yaad Kar is a 2016 Pakistani drama series that aired on Hum TV between March 15 and September 20, 2016. Amna Naamaz Khan directed and produced the film, which was scripted by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Zahid Ahmed, Yumna Zaidi, and Sana Javed appeared in it. Yumna and Zahid made their second on-screen debut, after their appearance in Jugnoo (2015). Yumna Zaidi’s portrayal of Uzma was praised by both spectators and reviewers.

The plot centres around Hadi and Mahnoor, first cousins who are married (Nikkah). Hadi is a humble man with a little income who is madly in love with Mahnoor. He resides in a leased room at Ikhtiar Ali’s house. Ikhtiar and his college-age daughter Uzma both admire Hadi for his perfect character and calm temperament.

Hadi is devoted to and protective of Mahnoor, whom he regards as the centre of his existence. He is also open-minded, encouraging Mahnoor to work and become self-sufficient. Uzma, who is unaware that Hadi is married, is captivated to him because of his pleasant personality. She eventually writes a letter to Hadi, professing her feelings for him. Hadi gently reprimands her, informing her that he is married and madly in love with Mahnoor. He shows Mahnoor the letter, thinking that he should not keep anything from his wife.

Hadi is emotionally committed in the relationship, while Mahnoor is not. When she meets her new neighbour Waqar, who teaches Urdu at a nearby college, her selfish side shows. Mahnoor considers Waqar to be more wealthy and handsome than Hadi. Her avarice drives her to beg Hadi for a divorce so she can marry Waqar.

Her selfish behaviour causes a schism between her and her mother Aneesa (Saba Faisal (actor)) and breaks Hadi’s heart. Despite his pain, Hadi accepts to divorce Mahnoor because he feels Mahnoor’s love for Waqar are sincere. He agrees to the divorce in order to maintain his own self-esteem, as well as to let go of the lady who does not love him.

Mahnoor begs Waqar to marry her on the same day she obtains her divorce from Hadi, and Waqar agrees tacitly. However, Mahnoor is unaware that Waqar is an opportunist who is only interested in women for their riches. He is engaged to teach Urdu to Geeti (Shermeen Ali), the daughter of a prominent politician named Deswali (Adnan Jilani). Geeti has lately returned from the United States to run in the next elections in the town where Waqar lives. Waqar departs for his homeland without alerting Mahnoor, accompanied by his housekeeper Umerdeen.

Geeti develops feelings for Waqar while studying Urdu from him. He joins her on her campaign trips, allowing them to spend more and more time together and solidifying her feelings for him. Geeti eventually admits her affections to Waqar, who is overjoyed to have won the heart of a powerful politician’s daughter.

Aneesa, anxious about her daughter’s future, locates Waqar and gives him to Mahnoor so that she may learn about his ambitions. Mahnoor contacts him, overjoyed at finally knowing where Waqar is. Waqar seems to be unconcerned about his unexpected departure, hints at being in some sort of problem, and promises to meet Mahnoor in a few months when he has had a chance to resolve the things in which he is involved.

Waqar’s remark makes Mahnoor suspicious, and she appears to remorse for her treatment of Hadi. She tries to apologise to Hadi without her mother’s knowledge in order to go on with the possibility of reconciliation. Hadi, on the other hand, does not forgive her right afterwards, still nursing his damaged self-esteem. Mahnoor becomes desperate and asks Hadi to remarry her, despite religious and societal restrictions.

Hadi is even more heartbroken by Mahnoor’s deed since he views Mahnoor taking marriage, commitment, love, and relationships for granted. He begins to question if he is prepared to undergo another heartbreak by remarrying Mahnoor, despite his undying love for her.

Mahnoor marries Umerdeen, expecting him to divorce her the next day, only to discover, to to her surprise, that Umerdeen has no such plans. He gives her a note before taking her back to his hometown. Hadi wrote the letter, in which she is chastised for her selfishness and lack of regard for others. He also shows his dissatisfaction with Mahnoor’s lack of appreciation for his affection and care.

He expresses his sorrow to her after overhearing her talk with her mother in which she compares the chances of a life with Hadi to a life in jail. He goes on to say that it was he who arranged the change of plans with Umerdeen, even if he had to use deception to do it, which was against his character and ideals.

Uzma is also taken aback when she finds Hadi on her doorstep, finally accepting her feelings for him and asking her to marry him, to which she agrees.
